Dr. Shady Abdel Wahab serves as the head of security studies unit at Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS), an Abu Dhabi-based think tank. He is the executive editor-in-chief of “Trending Events”, FARAS’ bi-monthly periodical. Dr. Shady holds a PhD in Comparative politics from the Faculty of Economics and Political Science, Cairo University.

Basma el Etreby is the Managing Editor and Political Researcher at Future for Advanced Research and Studies (FARAS), an Abu Dhabi-based think tank. Basma has more than 6 years of experience in development and policy-oriented research. Her research interest is in the international relations of the Gulf. Prior to Joining FARAS in November 2014, Basma worked for the International Research and Exchanges Board (IREX) and Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women Entrepreneurship Program. Basma holds a Master of International Relations in Political Science from The American University in Cairo.

Yara Ahmed serves as the managing editor and political researcher at FARAS, an Abu Dhabi-based think tank. Yara holds a Masters in Public Policy from University College London. Previously, she worked as political researcher in UNAIDS, Cairo.
